
The United Kingdom is a prestigious destination: world-class universities, a wide choice of programmes, and the opportunity to stay for 2–3 years after your studies.
A Student Visa. Processing time — 3–8 weeks.
IELTS 6.0–6.5 for Bachelor's degrees, 6.5–7.0 for Master's degrees. For top universities — 7.0–7.5.
For a Bachelor's degree — a secondary school certificate + a Foundation preparatory programme (direct enrolment after school is not possible). For a Master's degree — a Bachelor's diploma. Document package: passport, diplomas with translation, language certificate, motivation letter, references.
Proof of funds to cover tuition and living costs. The funds must be held in the account for at least 28 days.
Bachelor's — through the UCAS system (deadline 31 January, 15 October for Oxford/Cambridge). Master's — directly to the university.
Obtain an offer and a CAS confirmation, complete the online application, pay the fees and the IHS insurance, and provide biometrics.
Up to 20 hours per week during term, and full time during the holidays.
18 months out — choosing a university. 15 months out — preparing for IELTS. 12 months out — taking IELTS. 10 months out — gathering documents. 9 months out — writing the Personal Statement. 8 months out — submitting the application through UCAS. 5–6 months out — receiving the CAS. 3–4 months out — applying for the visa. 1 month out — visa and flight.
A low IELTS score. No Foundation after school. The 28 days in the account not confirmed. Late application (after 31 January). A weak motivation letter.
